In early September big Chinook salmon begin to make their showing in Tillamook Bay. Commonly referred to as Tillamook Hogs, these fish will weight upwards of 20 to 40 pounds each and are the prize of any angler.

Rivers along the Oregon coast begin to see increasing numbers of fall Chinook in October along with the first fall rains. This is the time we break out our 19' Willie Drift Boat and float productive rivers like the Wilson, Trask, Nehalem, Kilchis and Nestucca.
Tillamook Bay Springers are the largest of Oregon's Spring Chinook. Landing a 20 to 30 pounder is common. These are truly trophy Chinook.
